If you don't understand why I found it so irritating then fair enough, but I found the tone of it immensely frustrating I'm afraid.

You said after that "anything Grant does will be seen in a negative light" - that's not the case for me, I just see Grant giving an extended public slating to a young striker who did much to save last season in a negative light, which I don't think is unreasonable, especially as it's hardly an isolated incident.

My take on Grant is that he's put together a decent squad of players on a small budget, but he'll never be able to manage them as he can't resist the urge to continually criticise them in public. If your boss did that to you, especially when you were happy with your performance, you'd be pretty annoyed, wouldn't you? I know I would.
