An interesting debate began

lower down the board about whwther or not Darren Huckerby has been our best ever player.

I would say several have been better over a long period (eg Graham Paddon, Kevin Keelan, Dave Stringer, Duncan Forbes) but few have had the impact that Huckerby had when he first arrived. Raely if ever have I seen one player lift a side in the way that he did and he has been a fantastic asset ever since, providing some of the rare moments of joy in the last two or three years.

But the best ever? A really interesting (and ultimately futile!) debate. Martin Peters was tremendous, Chris Sutton was, for me, a very special talent and just for a while both Kevin Reeves and Robert Fleck were right up with the very best. Gunny was very good, too, and so were Bowen and Robins.
