just got home from manc + night in york...

....After 5 minutes the performance was infinately better than wolves. The youngsters who are too poor to play fro us in the league according to grant did us proud. The problem with how well we played is that it eclipses some of the wolves performance but unless we beat wednesday and sc**thorpe the way we played last night counts for nothing. It was the best i've see us play this season and the national reports which said that we were second best were wrong, we controlled the game and if we weren't impotent up front would have won comfortably. Grant didnt make any subs and in the end that's what cost us in my opinion, brown ran his socks off but by 75 minutes could hardly move at all. We are desperate for a goal scorer, JC and brown lok like they could play all day without hitting the target, we had plenty of chances and if you don't take them against a prem club in the cup, you get knocked out, do it in the league and you get relegated. Anyway it was a good night on the whole, i hope we build from this and stuf wednesday oh and croft must start he was great, although that's probably because it was against his former employers.
