Yes, but of course that is absolute rubbish.

The fact that a team loses to another team has absolutely nothing to do with a completely different team losing to a another completely different team years ago.

However, all the teams we played away so far are in our league (or below) and we should be able to compete with them. Manchester City are high in the Premiership with a World Class manager and some fantastic players.
