Oi, SIH, re Income tax.

Back in t days of "Lady!!!!!" Thatcher I remember her starting a sort of national discussion about it. How did people want to be taxed; all up front as income tax or lower income tax and pay taxes on what you boufgt (now known as stealth tax). The overwhelming reply was, apparently, the latter which we now have and which everyone complains about.
Caviat: This isn't one of my Thatcher rants.
