so long to consider them. Since about 90% of child disappearances end up involving one or more of the parents, they are usually suspects by default from the start.

Said that weeks ago, just after I'd seen a documentary about the murder of that US kid beauty queen. They are almost sure that the parents did it but have never been able to prove it due to a f**k-up of the investigation procedures by the police in the house. But when I watched that, the way they used the media to batter our senses with pleas for the killer to come forward just reminded me of the Maddie case, which is why I posted that then.
