in August. He'd sit there at the bar pouring wifebeater down his neck with a tattoo around one of his eyebrows creeping onto his cheek and forehead, not a proper tattoo, one of those faded blue prison biro ink tattoos, dead classy.

And he'd stare at everyone like he was one Funny Look away from going at fetching his 12-bore.

With a right mullet, with bleached bits.
