"Fran Cosgrove, a man whose personality lights up a room like a broken digital watch, was booked for a two-hour DJ set at Great Yarmouth's Arena nightclub.
Naturally, Cosgrove gave it the big 'I am', refusing to have his photo taken for any publicity shots or local press, or to give autographs - much to the annoyance of the organisers.
Things took a turn, however, when one of the club's bouncers found him hunched like a gargoyle over the toilet cistern, snorting a white powder.
To much hilarity, Cosgrove was forcibly removed from the club and left on his arse in the street two hours early for his pre-booked limousine and at the mercy of the local mini-cabs and nursing whatever slender shreds of dignity he'd gone in with."
