Are you barmy ?
Brown for all his undoubted hardwork created nothing. The headers that he won went to nobody. The shot that he had today was his first shot in 4 games this season. He never gets into goal scoring positions and simply has neither the ability nor the instinct to get into the right position to be anything than a bustling journeyman striker of 1st or 2nd division standard. He is clearly not an athlete , has no pace and looks laboured in everything he does. His heading ability for his size is poor. He usually mistimes his jumps so that he does not meet the ball with his head and thus is unable to direct his headers to anyone .
I`m sorry if the pro Brown lobby on this board think I am being unfairly critical. He does his best but his best is not good enough. We will go nowhere with Brown as the focus of our attack. My instinct is that Strivahka and Martin willbe our best attacking combination. Grant has to play Strivakha if he wants him to acclimatise to English football. it may take time but he never will if Grant doesnt play him. Forget training. Its only pitch time that will show whether he is up to the task.
