Chris Brown and Peter Grant

CB is hardworking and a trier but of limited talent and we are going nowehere with him as our main striker. He runs around alot and wins a few headers. He is however completely ineffectual. His goalscoring and assists record speak for themselves. His very presence encourages a hoofball style of football which we play very badly one of the reasons for which is that CB is poor as a target man and doesnt score goals. Anyone can try hard , run about alot and be brave but those attributes alone do not make a good footballer . CB is at best a lower division journeyman.
Can PG please explain why he persists with CB when we had on the bench a young striker with more talent in his little finger than CB has in his whole body and whose goalscoring record ( 8 in 15-16 first team games) speaks for itself in comparison with that of CB ( 0 in 14-15 games).
Managers are judged on decisions that are made that win or lose games. Jones a manager of many years experience takes off Fowler and puts on Whittingham who scores almost immediatedly. In contrast PG made decisions which probably contributed to us losing the game- not bringing on Huckerby when we were 1-0 up and the game was getting stretched; not playing Martin from the beginning; taking off Brellier etc.
In fact PG and CB deserve themselves.
