Canaries could struggle to fly
Norwich City accumulated 57-points last season and given the subsequent departures of the likes of Robert Earnshaw, Dickson Etuhu and Youssef Safri, it’s difficult to envisage any significant improvement from Peter Grant’s team this term.
True, there have been a number of new recruits, but even allowing for the return of Jamie Cureton after a decade away and the loan signing of the promising Jimmy Smith from Chelsea, is the current squad actually any stronger than that of last season?
Results in the opening few games have been mixed and that seems likely to be the way of things throughout the season. Sporting Index has a season spread of 62-64 points for the Canaries and that looks a tad on the high side for a squad that looks somewhat limited and probably unlikely to figure much in the promotion race. As such, the current points spread warrants a sell.
