Yesterday's game

First half we were OK, second half we were second best. Hull are an ordinary side so it's a tad concerning. I didn't feel any of the players let us down yesterday however our tactics are as negative away from home as they were under Worthy. We went out yesterday not to lose rather than to win. Troubleiswhen you go behind it's difficult to suddenly change mind set to let's win it. The manager sets the tactics and match strategy so has to take responsibility for this.
Fans say Brown looks good on the ball but doesn't look like scoring goals. Of course he doesn't the poor beggar when he's obliged to spend most of the game playing down the flanks to get sight of the ball. Croft and Lappin were not played wide enough yesterday to allow Brown to get into the middle to provide knock-downs for Cureton.
Full marks to 'ambition' Mumby for coming to the back of the away end at the end of the game yesterday to get our views. I made the point to him that we will be nowhere near the top 6 with a negative attitude to away games and that playing your CF on the flanks was not going to allow him to score goals. He told me he agreed with both points. Will he feed back to Granty?
