Well rather than MSN with my m8 up the road, I used to

actually go there. That's what we did. We had a cup of tea with Mr and Mrs M8, were polite, and then we retreated to the sacred room of m8 where we talked bollocks, played C64 games, took turns playing guitar riffs while being shouted at by the parents, listened to each others' new tapes we'd bought, etc, and at some point always went out for a kick-around.

These days they don't move. MSN, YouTube links, MP3 downloads. We're talking about cameras and internet on phones - s**t, these kids can't imagine life without it!
