The club have screwed this right up.
1) The public ain't the problem, it's the media. Take a look at this:

It totally nails Cureton as one of those sick and offers other good clues. I am guessing that PNE would take far more notice of an accredited journalist than anything posted on here.
PS Have Lakey and Cuffley been banned? Presumably not.
2) Disinformation is a far better weapon to use. Create one or two identities and post the occasional red herring on boards. Of course they did try this with Harry Helveg, but a combination of slavish following the party-line and the "we're all ex-archant-boys" network soon put paid to this.
3) The less open things are the more crap info can be circulated. I could post that Cureton has ankle-ligament damage but someone who was at Colney could politely point out that he was training today and even passed the ball to Dave Str.
4) The club's media department need to realise that open access is now king, and that their experiences from the hot-type days is less relevant than ever before.
Bit of a shambles.
