we have signed a few centre-backs

but they have been forgotton because of the Flem/Malky dominance.

NW signed DD, Doc and Charlton (he also signed Colin & Holt, one of which said his best position was c-b and the other was used in emergencies)
Hammy signed McGovern & Walsh
Rioch signed Malky (who looked rubbish for 2 seasons)
Walker signed Segura, Lee Marshall, Flem & Jackson

Part of the problem has been that Sutch, Kenton, Shacks & Spillane have come thru the ranks, and that Flem & Malky were so good they didn't need replacing (one of them played in every Norwich side from Feb '00 to Sept '05. That is some record).

And also remember that when we were signing great c-bs (Watson, Bruce, Linighan, Butterworth) our striker-recruitment was generally cack (Beckford, Jack, Taylor, Coney). It's all swings n roundabouts.
