I don't think they'd consider buying him though. Whether they should or not is a different question. I personally wouldn't though.

I don't think his injury situation is the same as RVN's but then again I can only remember the injury that delayed his move to Manure.

I still think PSV (European football, near the top of the league etc) is superior to that of the Championship. I don't think he's proven as such at Premier level as he hasn't done it for more than half a season. I think he's more than good enough for what it's worth, but that's not my point.

Clubs like Manure would much rather buy someone who has performed at the top of the Dutch league than someone who has done well at Championship level and near the bottom of the Prem. Same reason Manu didn't buy Darren Bent

Ashton is good enough though. He just needs to stay injury free for a season
