Nothing springs to mind ...

... Was considering this today, watching the highlights of France v Brazil in '86. The game was incredibly dramatic - 1-1, Zico misses a penalty, extra-time, shoot-out where Platini and Socrates miss (but Zico scores) and one of France's penalties shouldn't have stood, and they win 4-3. It doesn't *need* to be dramatised any further, and I think it's hard to contrive the kind of drama that football throws up (and even harder to act it out).

There's a brilliant football scene in 'Life is a Miracle', a film about the Yugoslav civil war where one of the central characters is about to sign for Partizan Belgrade. Well worth a look - the director (Emir Kusturica) is planning a documentary about Diego Maradona ...
