Definitely Situationist

The Situationist International was formed around the main theorists Guy Debord and Raoul Vaneigem in the late 50s. Debord theorised that society had become a spectacle where everybody lived lives vicariously through a few others (actors, sportspeople, advertisers, etc.) and had merely become consumers of whatever banal tat they were sold. The SI proposed a revolution whereby everybody would selfishly live their lives however they chose by constructing little situations - whether that be art, sex, drinking or whatever. They heavily influenced the May '68 uprisings in France (at least among students). Vaneigem was expelled for being on holiday at the time as I recall...
