He's A Much Better Player Now

Curbishley and Charlton did his game the world of good, coached and brought him on when we couldn't or wouldn't. Whilst he was at Leeds, he played in the UEFA Cup and the Champions League and didn't look out of place, he has also played in a World Cup, as well as notching up a fair few Prem appearences. Admittedly, he isn't the player now he was 5,6 years ago, but he'd still be a good aquisition and an excellent option as the right handed central defender alongside Shacks.
