Typical Norwich Pre-Season Assessment

"Norwich, under Manager Rger Grant didn't do much to sizzle in Delia's kitchen last season, the players failing to set the kitchen alight as they finished a non-too baked 15th place in the table. Losing top scorer Robert Earnshaw to Derby was a disappointment to them but they have signed John Cureton and Bosnian David Streeter to replace him, as well as new goalkeeper Andy Marshall, formerly of arch-rivals Luton Town. Boss Gordon Grant and assistant Jim Duffield will be hoping to put the heat on their opponents this season to placate Chairman Delia Smith, but, unless they find a striker to replace Robin Earnshaw, expect the Canaries to chirp no more and for their season to end by just pasta March.

STAR MAN: Denzil Huckerby
CAPACITY: 12'000
CAPTAIN: Steve Bruce
VERDICT: Canaries flop to a less than sparkling champagne 19th."
