Gerrard, in my opinion, can get over-eager but is not a nasty player like Barton

Barton tries to hurt people.

I dunno. I reckon many people on this board would have supported synchronised swimming teams in the 70s instead of football, as Gerrard, Rooney, Beckham and co would have been considered fairly tame then.
