is to reference shirt numbers as much as possible:

"it's that number 5 shirt that's a-troubling me" (no idea what the a- is for)
"come in number 5 your time is nearly up" (at least twice)
"Grant welcomes home No8 just as No7 bids farewell for the next six weeks"
"Gunny's contact list bears fruit as Jimmy Smith is unveiled as No7"
"Croft's delight at the first six; now Grant hints a No7 for No20 is in-bound"
"Come in No 5, and it's the one we've all been waiting for" (just a minute, i thought all these numbers were about shirts, not the order in which people were signed)
