Basically there was a game called Championship Manager 97/98

and it all went downhill after that. On 97/98 you could stay up all night and go through a season quite enjoyably and it never got boring. They then made the game too detailed and too serious year on year, it also became full of faults. The last time I tried to play it...now called Football Manager, I was bored to tears - it took me about 90mins to just start the f**king season.
