...that the day after he'd left, he said on Football Focus that he'd learned more in one day at Coventry than he did in all his years at Norwich. This was never reported in print which is why you cannot find any reference to it on the internet.

He never actually retracted the comment, but rather turned on Coventry a couple of years ago when he was at Newcastle, saying that their facilities, coaching, etc, was far inferior to Norwich and that he should never have left Norwich for Coventry.

I'd never heard of the supposed quote until last week on here (had heard the second one many times), but DoY and a couple of others support pants' claims and I'm not going to argue since if it was only ever on FF and I didn't happen to be watching then who is to say it wasn't true ? He has b***hed at just about every club he has left in the past so it is rather likely !
