Darel Russell

In my opinion Darel is a good Championship midfielder and will add good competiotion to that role.

PG is going about getting promoted the right way by buying players that are good players at this level, as we all already know the premiership is a different world altogether. We cannot worry at this stage whether our new purchases are going to be good enough for the Prem, we are a long way from that!

Even if Darel is replacing Saffers then we will be getting a younger less injury prone midfielder who will not complain about being 'lethargic' after playing 6 games a month - this was the beginning of the end for Saffer's if you ask me!

Assuming Saffers goes this is how our central midfield compares to the start of Grants reign:
