probably true

but in business terms I doubt these locals are going to spend much (if anything) on City merchandise because the bar has a shirt (they're probably as interested in us as they'll get just by him playing here). And as a precedent the club can probably forsee lots of similar please that end up with their generous donations materialising rather swiftly on ebay.
I'd like such gestures to be practical but in todays money-grabbing world it isn't really the case. Sad but true.
