Norwich victory in first tour match

DAVID CUFFLEY

AGOVV Apeldoorn 0, Norwich City 2

Second half goals by Chris Brown and Jamie Cureton gave the Canaries victory in the first of their two friendlies in Holland today against Dutch First Division side AGOVV Apeldoorn.

Brown opened the scoring after 72 minutes with a header from a cross by Simon Lappin.

And Cureton made the game safe eight minutes later when he headed home after a Gary Doherty header had struck the bar.

City keeper David Marshall was a spectator for 90 minutes, but the Canaries missed a string of chances in a very one-sided contest.
