'The Lonesome Crowded West' and 'Good News For People Who Love Bad News' are great.

I would also recommend the now defunct McLusky, if you haven't already heard of them. Check out the albums 'My Pain and Sadness is More Sad and Painful Than Yours' and 'The Difference Between You and Me Is That I Am Not On Fire', or there's a good compilation, 'McLuskyism'.
