defend the board
I have traditionally always defended the current board even when i have been outnumbered by most on here. If this etuhu / safri incident forces our manager out it would be totally unforgiveable. I dont actually think Hucks would leave. Having hear his interview i think he would just be in a sulk for a while. More concerning would be if Grant walked.
I am sure the club would say that these players wanted to leave and you cant realistically keep players who dont want to play for you. However, from what i have heard Dickson at the least is not unhappy at Norwich, so the board can just reject offers and i am sure he would knuckle down and play for us.
We can only hope that Hucks outburst is a clever deliberate attempt to make the board think again. They will now have to consider the backlash that would ensue if these players are sold and Grant walks. Being warned about this situation before means any statement the board puts out to justify it would simply not be believed or accepted even by a traditional pro board fan like me. This is all depressing, cross all your fingers and toes.
