it was freezing cold (-20) and there they all were lined up in mini skirts waiting for some fat hairy trucker for a knee trembler in the woods. Poland is (the bit I've experienced) like stepping back into time. I remember an occasion where me and my mate were held up in the middle of nowhere by an overturned truck and a geezer dressed up like Abraham Lincoln complete with a confederate sidekick appeared out of the woods and asked us who we were when we told him he kissed us and said in broken english "I f**k god love british paratroops". Anyway.... Drive through drawsko pomorskie go past the big f**k off tank ranges and you will find a little village called Konotop. There is only one restaurant there but the Twins are more than recompense for the dubious grubbage.
