We are NOT in dire straits, that would be the situation the club down the road are in (Selling all their best assets, replacing them with distinctly average signings (their Fors-kin strike-partnership for example).

We, on the other hand, are replacing the dead wood with decent squad players who cost us nothing.

We will have at least ?2m to spend on transfers:

Helveg out - ?170k in + ?400k in wages saved.
Svensson out - ?100k in + ?250k in wages saved.
Jonson out - ?700k in + ?286k in wages saved.
Mulryne, Crow, Stuart, Edworthy out - in excess of ?500k in wages saved. Probably negated by the 3 new signings wages and signing on fees.

And that's not taking into account any funds we had already in the bank (probably in excess of ?500k).

That gives us a minimum of ?2,406,000 to spend. Obviously, we won't go shouting about it because it will bump up the asking prices of any players that we target.

Also, we've held onto Francis and Green, who will excel at this level again.

There really is no reason to panic.
