Long term view ?
If Jonson is sold, as expected, that will bring to 13 the number of players from the 2004-5 squad that have moved on.
It may be 'good business' to sell certain players but City are now woefully short in some areas and also lacking the kind of longevity & unit strength that played a critical role in our last promotion (FACT Jason Shackell is currently the fifth-longest serving player on our books).
With 3 new players in our starting XI a slow start to the season is not out of the question.
