And it strikes me that, given the way the team's being rebuilt with no huge stars, but value for money signings capable of at last turning us into a side better than the sum of its parts, we could well be looking at something very similar to 2001/2. A likeable, cohesive side, working hard and making the most of itself. But if I'm right, can we win the penalty shoot-out this time please, oh lord?
