Baník Ostrava's general manager, Werner Lička (pictured right) confirmed that the English Championship club Norwich City FC are interested in signing striker David Střihavka (pictured left). "We are aware of the interest, but absolutely nothing has been signed," Lička told our website.

Lička confirmed that there was also similar interest in other members of the squad. "Of course, that doesn't yet mean that anyone is leaving the club. It is a matter of sounding out possibilities at this stage. I must reiterate that the club has no received a serious offer," he added.

However, the player, who scored 13 goals last season, has a buy-out clause in his current contract. If Norwich fulfil the conditions of the clause, then Střihavka will be able to move to England. "We would be very sad to lose David, however. He is our key player and we want an assurance that the team will not be weakened over the summer," added Lička.

Střihavka's agent Ondrej Chovanec echoed Werner Lička's words. "Nothing has been signed yet, but it is highly likely that he will go there," Chovanec was reported as saying on premierleague.cz. "Norwich have been following David for a relatively long time, so they know his quality," said Chovanec, who believed a decision would be made in a week.
