Without wanting to restart the Is Worthy Really Any Good thing again, I'm a little surprised at the number of people who still show faith that he'll have sommat up his sleeve. OK, he signed Ashton: but FFS, pretty much every one of us had been clamouring for Deano since the start of the season. OK he got Hux and Crouch on loan, and that was a surprise to us - but only because I'd guess that most of us wouldn't have thought we'd have a chance of bringing them here. At the time we were all thinking along the lines of Southall and Roberts.

As for persuading Hux to come back, he very much wanted to come - and I can't help but think that he was influenced by the waves of sheer love he received from all quarters. Anyone in his position at that time would've wanted to go somewhere where the mention of his signing would be greeted by such a huge outpouring of lovespud custard.

So here's my plan: *we* will sign the players. Nige can then content himself with playing them out of position and form. Wahey!!!
