No pants, you're quite right. If he'd stayed in bed that morning, or gone for a coffee instead of getting on the tube, or worn just a T-shirt so it was obvious he didn't have a body-bomb, he'd still have been shot. Definitely. It didn't matter what he did, they had singled him out, and they were going to shoot him.

Come off it. Shit happens. They misidentified him as a terror suspect (foreigners all look the same to the Met), then by rotten luck his actions that morning could be interpreted as those of someone planning to blow up the tube if you're a jumpy copper.
