Sharp vs. Eastwood

I'd love to get both, I know that we'll probably end up with neither but what do you think of the above?

Everybody seems to think that Eastwood isn't as good as Sharp.

Eastwood scored fifteen goals this season in a relegated side in the Championship whereas Sharp got 32 in a side that pretty much walked league one. That puts them pretty close in my mind.

What puts Eastwood ahead is the fact that he turned it on in big games (quality first goal against us at Roots Hall, brilliant free-kick vs Man Utd) and that he faded with frustration towards the end of the season. With a better manager and a successful team he would have scored many more.

They both played in the same division in 04/05 when Sharp got 9 goals in 16 for Rushden and Diamonds and Eastwood got 21 in 34, albeit Eastwood was playing for a better side.

They also both played in the same division in 05/06 and Sharp got 23 in 35 and Eastwood 21 in 34.

If we had to get one I'd rather Eastwood as he looks more of an all-round player and I think he'd create more for other players than Sharp who looks like an Earnshaw style goal-poacher.
