Nearly all free downloads are illegal!!

Although one can get some free tracks from iTunes Store and from last.fm (the latter is not really about music downloading though). And perhaps other sites may have similar arrangements.

But, I use SoulSeek and Oink. Essentially, they both allow for the illegal sharing of music.

SoulSeek's a peer to peer application and she'll be expected to share - no such thing as a free lunch; but she'll be able to get anything she wants.

Oink.me.uk is an invitation only site for music torrents - it's got tough sharing rules for maintaining an account. It appears to be dead at the moment though.
