My testing tells me that if you post the link to page 1 it goes to page 1, BUT ...
why does his site split an article over two pages, when it's no greater cost to just put it on one longer page ... ?
That's because if it was all on one page, the content in the middle would be so far down, once you'd read it half way through, that you would no longer be able to see the adverts that he so badly needs to pay his mortgage. If it's on two pages, you can see those adverts almost all the time.
