May well be over-protective but that comes from the fact that

England, at any level, hardly EVER get any praise from anybody but the tabloids now and again. And that's not just having a go at your enjoyment of their misfortunes - I hear it from all areas after any England game, regardless of the end result. It's almost as though people are embarrassed to be pro-England.

Let's be honest - while we have a good old b***h at NCFC in our bad seasons, we do get extremely positive times too. With England it never happens, so I just get sick of all the whinging.

We are NOT one of the best 2 or 3 teams in the world, or even Europe, so as long as we can accept that we can take pride in good results even without winning championships - just like we do with Norwich City. And we can accept that good results are not necessarily beating Brazil 6-0 - at the moment a good result would be a draw in Israel and a win at home, etc.
