earnie scored plenty while also missing bucketloads of sitters? Maybe the problem when Earnie wasn't playing was not the midfield's for failing to create chances but that the strikers weren't getting into the right places in the box for them (i.e. we had no-one to create chances for). After all the strikers we had were martin(inexperienced), Dublin (not very mobile), Brown (no apparent goalscorer's instincts) and Hucks (not a real striker and hardly ever in the box)
