people who think that 'all you need is love' is representative of the beatles

are people who've never bothered to listen to most of the beatles' albums. Just think about how original they were at the time - use of baroque style piano in 'in my life', invention of punk guitar in 'revolution', the impressionism of 'a day in the life' and the poignancy ('existentialism' might be going a bit far) of 'eleanor rigby'.

I don't listen to the beatles every day, but they were monumental in the development of popular music and culture - without them we would only have songs like 'all you need is love'
