This is mostly use by black people, but as a white man it's perfectly possible for me to use the word nigger in a non-racist way - see, I just did it.

Having said all of which, that Emily bit's use was not acceptable in my book and C4 were right to act - though you have to say they were probably desperate to be able to sling someone out for racism at some point.

But for me at least there are almost no "bad words", just bad contexts. Another example would be "Keep St George in my heart, keep me English" which is an entirely reasonable sentiment in and of itself, but totally unacceptable to the likes of me when sung simply because of the NF connotation.
