Advice from those that know Birmingham (Edgbaston)...

I'm off to cricket in Brum next month. Previously we've always been to Trent Bridge but I have never been to Edgbaston.
I need some recommendations for hotels that are within reasonable walking distance of the cricket ground (2 miles or so) - anything from a travel inn upwards please.
