Absolutely - three weeks and a few thousand miles (a lot of it uphill) is still an incredible undertaking. I remember when Riis destroyed Indurain the year he won it - I happened to be watching live on Eurosport (I think) and Riis broke twice and twice Indurain reined him in and then broke again and that was Indurain finished. Now we know why; but still an amazing half an hour of cycling.

Haven't really been following the Giro; but was in a small place called Scarperia a couple of weeks ago when in Tuscany and it was the finish of last Saturday's stage, so they were all going Giro crazy.
