The FA Cup Final

To recap: Wembley; looks nice, but not "special". Attention to detail severely remiss, e.g. the awful galvanised steel railings on the ridiculously unimpressive stairs to the Royal Box or whatever the PC term is these days. The Argos garage doors in the corners could really have done with a lick of paint. Special mention in dispatches goes to HRH The Prince William who has turned overnight into a right old duffer complete with Bobby Charlton combover. Whilst I'm on the subject, you may well be a Knight of the Realm Sir Alice bloody Ferguson but that does not excuse you from disposing of your chewing gum wrapper in an environmentally and socially responsible way. Overall I thought the entire event was very formulaic and lacked ingenuity or any hint of a touch of class and that is with deliberate avoidance of the footballing fayre so poorly served up. All round a pretty poor show made even worsererer by the infuriating commentator who feel the compunction to throw in an "interesting" fact/stat at every God given opportunity. Do us a favour mate, tell us about the game and then shut the f**k up.
