I see what you are saying but if Luton would have happily sold him to Norwich at £750k, then that is what he was worth.

Brum could have bought him for that too, but because they have lots of money, they could offer a lot more to iliminate other clubs, like Norwich.

I remember reading somewhere that either David Sullivan or David Gold admitted that they payed too much for him.
