It's very likely that the scouting's no more diligent than before

if we accept that PG may just be a bit more open about it than Noigel was. Well let's hope we're now better at it, then, because my only basis for the worry was the evidence on the pitch...... but then, whose finds were Martin and the other current hopefuls? Not for me to say, but definitely for me to fret about.
