If he is innocent then he is a Brit, who was forced to endure hellish conditions in rat-infested filthy foreign jail while being beaten and bullied by garlic-smelling fat greasy corrupt useless and inefficient foreign cops who wasted their energies on him so as to hide the fact that it was one of their lot who did it.

If he is guilty then he is a Portugeeza, which shows what a filthy lot they are, and he was only caught because of the involvement of some plucky British (a) journo (b) cop on holiday (c) cop who was seconded out there to help because the locals are so useless or (d) key eye-witness. All the foreign cops are garlic-smelling fat greasy corrupt useless and inefficient.
