Francis (Again)

Notwithstanding the comments for and against selling Francis for ?2m you can't ignore the fact that he scored goals for us from that position. We would have been relegated long before we were if not for him.

Yes, he did tail off in the second half of the season but I believe his injury, and the fact that he inexplicably found himself playing alongside Holt again was a contributory factor to that. In short, he was too scared to get forward because he knew we would get done for pace should an attack breakdown with only Holt behind him.

If Pompey get him for ?2m - THEY WILL LAUGH AT US -I just hope we have the sense to put a sell-on clause in the deal.
